***Please note: the Tri ART for Giving contest early registration deadline ($25) is December 18, 2017. Final registration deadline is February 5, 2017.***

Eligibility 

Tri ART for Giving is an unconventional community art contest featuring artist exhibitions at selected locations throughout the Tri-Cities.  Artists can submit pieces of fine art to be displayed at participating Tri ART for Giving venues.  To enter click here. Tri ART for Giving participants must be 18 years or older.

 Artwork Specs

To be eligible, the following guidelines for artists has been determined.  All submissions:

  • Must be the original work of artist
  • Must be Fine Art — art that is developed primarily for aesthetics, distinguished from applied art which serves some practical function
  • May be any medium
  • Must fall into one of two categories:
    • Framed or Hung
    • Free Standing
  • Can be a single piece, a series, or multiple components of the work of art
  • Can be any size, provided it fits in the space provided by the Venue
  • Must be displayed at a registered Tri ART for Giving Venue

Official Rules

  • Each Artist must be 18 years or older at time of registration.
  • There is a $50 non-refundable fee ($25 early registration) for each piece submitted (scholarships available for students enrolled in an arts related field at a college or university; please inquire at TriArt.For.Giving@gmail.com).
  • Artists must sign a Venue Hosting Agreement to be provided by the venue.
  • All artwork is eligible to win based on two (2) judging categories.
  • Artists and art are eligible to win either or both judging categories.
  • Artists are responsible for the installation and removal of artwork.
  • Artwork must be installed by April 24, 2016, three (3) days prior to Tri ART for Giving opening day, and removed by June 4, one week after close of Tri ART for Giving event, unless previously agreed upon by the Venue Hosting Agreement.
  • Artists are responsible for transportation of artwork to and from the venue.

Prizes

All artwork will be judged within two (2) categories. 1st Place Winners will receive a cash prize of $1,000!

    • 1st Place
    • 2nd Place
    • 3rd Place
  •  Juried Vote
    • 1st Place
    • 2nd Place
    • 3rd Place

Artists are eligible for placement in both categories.

 Registration 

To participate in Tri ART for Giving, artists must enter artwork no later than February 5, 2017 to participate in this year’s event.  The official Registration Period is October 22, 2016 – February 5, 2017.

Registration steps:

  1. Register your Artwork 
  2. Connect with a Venue [link will be available once we have confirmed registered venues]
  3. Participation in Tri ART for Giving is not confirmed until artwork is registered and signed Venue Hosting Agreement is complete.
  4. Tri ART for Giving reserves the right to refuse registrations at its discretion
